Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
1. Introduction
AutoPublisher ("we", "our", "the Service") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and delete information when you use our content creation and publishing platform.
2. Information We Collect
When you connect a TikTok account, we access only the data you authorize through OAuth 2.0, limited to the following scopes:
- user.info.basic — your TikTok user ID, display name, username, and avatar, shown in the app so you can confirm which account will receive a post.
- video.upload — permission to upload a video to your TikTok account for your review.
- video.publish — permission to publish a video you have explicitly approved.
We also store the video files and captions you create in the Service, plus a short activity record of your publish attempts (publish identifier, status, and timestamp).
We do not collect your password, private messages, contacts, follower lists, analytics, or any data beyond the scopes listed above.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information solely to:
- Authenticate your connected account via OAuth 2.0
- Display your account details on the publishing screen so you can verify the destination account
- Upload and publish the specific content you approve
- Show the status of a publish attempt you started
- Maintain your session and refresh API access tokens
We never publish content automatically. Content is sent to TikTok only after you press the publish button for that specific video.
4. Data Storage and Security
OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens are stored on our server and used only to interact with authorized platform APIs on your behalf. All traffic between your browser and the Service is encrypted over HTTPS. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling. Data is shared only with the services required to operate the product:
- TikTok APIs — for account authentication and content publishing you initiate.
- AI language models — for generating captions and content ideas. Only the topic text you choose is sent; no account data, tokens, or personal identifiers are shared with AI providers.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
OAuth tokens are retained only while your account is connected, and access tokens expire automatically. You can remove your data at any time:
- In AutoPublisher — click Disconnect in the Studio header. This immediately deletes the stored tokens for your account.
- In the TikTok app — go to Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Apps and services, and revoke AutoPublisher's access.
- By email — write to contact@autopublisher.click to request deletion of any remaining stored data. We respond to deletion requests within 30 days.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Revoking access in the TikTok app or disconnecting in AutoPublisher immediately stops all further data access.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
